SMILES
The SMILES Across Southeast Connecticut Program was launched in July 2003. The Smiles Program focuses on education and access to oral health care in schools in New London County.

In 2004-05 1,200 children received preventive care, cleaning, exams and fluoride treatments in 50 different New London County schools and 4 Head Start sites. Treatment needed beyond these services is provided at federally qualified health center dental offices.
