Living with Asthma
Asthma is a serious chronic lung disease that affects millions of Americans. People with Asthma have sensitive airways that become swollen or inflamed in reaction to irritants. When they have an Asthma attack, mucus starts to line their airways and their airways narrow – making it hard to breath.
Asthma symptoms vary but may include coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. Asthma can be controlled – it is important to understand and avoid asthma triggers and to use your asthma medications as prescribed by your doctor.
